In 2007, the MINAB launched a draft constitution and standards document. A consultation exercise began in January 2008. In May 2008, the MINAB published the first interim report.
The MINAB has completed the consultation exercise undertaken on the constitution and the standards. We have made available the feedback on this consultation and the revised draft constitution that has taken in account comments from the consultation exercise. We have also revised the draft standards that have taken in account comments from the consultation.
We have also included information recently sent out to all mosques proposals for immigration as these would affects mosque organisations who wish to employ Imams from abroad or invite scholars for full or part-time lecture roles.
