MINAB Annual General Meeting

Following legal advice from our Advisor on Constitutional Affairs on more than one occasion exhorting Trustees to convene a meeting of the General Council, the Trustees met on 14 November 2011 at the Muslim College.

At that meeting the Trustees reiterated their trust and confidence in Judge Khurshid Drabu CBE for his advice and requested that he should continue to be the Election Commissioner for MINAB.

It was decided that the Annual General Meeting of the MINAB which has been due since August 2011 would now be held on Sunday 4 March 2012 at Leicester. It was also decided to request Judge Drabu to draw up the dates for Election Schedule as soon as possible so that members will have sufficient time to file returns and respond to communications.

These decisions were conveyed to Judge Drabu after the Trustees meeting and he accepted the re-appointment; thanked the Trustees for their trust and undertook to draw up the date schedule for the elections shortly.
