Valuing Volunteers Workshop - Glasgow
It’s that time of year again when people might just be thinking about getting out more and becoming involved in their local community group. So how do you encourage people to volunteer and how do you retain those volunteers that are worth their weight in gold?
Faith in Community Scotland are organising a practical workshop on ‘Valuing Volunteers’ on Thursday 16th February, 10am – 3pm at our office based in Anderston Kelvingrove Church. (click for directions)
The workshop consists of group work, discussions and case studies and a comprehensive pack will be provided which includes templates, policy documents and checklists. All of this information is also supplied on a CD so that you can amend the material to fit your own purpose.
Lunch will be provided and reasonable travel expenses reimbursed.
The training workshop is free for faith based groups working in Glasgow to address poverty.
If you would like to take part in this opportunity to explore the value of volunteering and develop best practice in line with Scottish Government policy, please complete the attached registration form and return by email or post.
