Board of Trustees & Advisors (BTA)

Board of Trustees is made up of the following

• Maulana Shahid Raza OBE - Chairman of the Board & Trustee
• Allama Ahmed Nisar Begg Qadri - British Muslim Forum - Vice-Chair & Trustee
• Sister Unaiza Malik - Muslim Council of Britain - Vice-Chair & Trustee
• Sister Syeda Khalida Rahman - Al Khoei Foundation - Vice-Chair & Trustee
•  Allama Masood Alam Khan - Secretary & Trustee
•  Syed Yousif Al-Khoei OBE - Treasurer/Trustee & Chair of Community Cohesion - Citizenship and Stakeholder Engagement Committee

• Mr. Mohammed Imran - Advisor

Its key function is to ensure the implementation of priorities set by the Executive Board, delivery of agreed work plans, budgets and the smooth running of MINAB.

The Board is assisted in its function by its two special advisors,

•  Judge Khurshid Drabu CBE on matters of Law and Constitution
• Mr Yasin Rahim, on matters of Self Regulation.

The Board of Trustees meets bi-monthly and have decided to invite Chairs of the Specialist Committees to attend the meetings of the Board. Below are names of the Chairs of the Specialist Committees

• Dr Waqar Azmi OBE - Chair of Public Affairs Committee
• Dr. Tayyiba Rehman - Chair of Engagement of Women Committee
•  Dr. Shuja Shafi - Chair of Capacity Building and Governance of Mosques and Training Institutions Committee
•  Mr. Raja Saleem Akhtar - Chair of Fund-raising & Finance Committee
•  Imam Qari Mohammed Asim - Chair of Engagement of Youth Committee
•  Dr Manazir Ahsan MBE - Chair of Membership Committee
•  Dr Ahmed Dubayyan - Chair of Interfaith Committee

The Board of Trustees have also invited the following individuals to assist the Board in implementation of the agreed work plans.
